Some events change things forever. When the credit-induced housing bubble led to 2008’s stock market meltdown, investors were left scared, angry, and confused. Having experienced two market crashes in eight years and the elimination of 12 years of market gains, they vowed to take control of their own destiny and manage their own affairs. However, maneuvering through a chaotic market requires professional guidance, so into these murky waters, EPIC Insights launched. Offering investment ideas and portfolio management instruction in an accessible, easy-to-understand way, EPIC Insights allows you to control your own future without wandering alone into the market.
Each week we issue three unique newsletters:
The Sunday Issue
The main investment piece, EPIC Insights covers the following topics in a straightforward, easy-to-digest package (view example issue):
The Week Ahead –Sean lays out important market-making events, including economic reports, earnings releases, and other events that could lead to swings in stock prices. Sean focuses on items he finds relevant and ignores many pieces of data that other investors may find notable.
Technical Trade – Sean uses simple trends and moving averages to identify trading opportunities. All new trades are accompanied by prices at which the trade should be closed. Sean believes that ending price is the only one that matters, and uses it to judge trends, stop-loss price, and so on.
Fundamental Trade – A long-term value investor, Sean outlines his research into fundamental trading ideas. Rather than using stops on fundamental positions, Sean revisits the investment rationale when a stock moves 20% against him.
Option Trade – Based on the market environment, Sean will recommend option trades. In general, Sean prefers to write, rather than buy, options and will always look for opportunities to receive premium while hedging his risk.
General Comments –Sean shares his thoughts on topics ranging from the capital markets to the economy to politics.
Current Recommendations –Sean tracks his investment recommendations and the performance of the EPIC Insights portfolio to date.

Wednesday Market Reports
The market acts in inpredictable ways. This midweek update will keep you abreast of new developments. Each week we will examine new information or events that offer investors clues about the overall direction of the broad market and suggest what will occur next.
Thursday Bonus Stock Pick
Thursday we highlight a new trade idea that was not available to us when the weekend issue was created. Given the timeliness of the article, we have the ability to cover pending events such as earnings announcements, or corporate announcements that may have occurred. The market never moves on a set time table so an extra recommendation each week will allow you to increase returns and capture more opportunities.
